Boise has recently become a hot spot for businesses and individuals looking to depart the west coast, namely due to its substantially lower taxes, burgeoning tech opportunities, low unemployment rates and lower overall cost of living. It has become the hub for many major tech firms, such as Micron, and is increasingly host to several enterprises seeking a favorable climate for business and attracting a strong employee base. The extremely low violent crime rate in the region (Idaho was ranked 3^rd in the Top 10 Safest States in America by US News in June 2021) makes it one of the best places to raise a family, as well.
